My Comic:
The Haunting at Acacia Inn
Click the button below to read the comic for free on Webtoon Canvas!
*This only takes you to the first 4 episodes of the comic - the episodes I have worked on at the residency are not finished and published yet
The story follows Wayne Acacia, the struggling owner of a haunted bed and breakfast. He's at his wit's end dealing with the ghosts ruining his business, as well as unmasking every psychic, medium and exorcist he's asked for help as a fraud - until he meets Hiru Birdwing, an unassuming grocery store clerk who it seems, really can communicate with the dead. But in a hotel this haunted, Hiru has his work cut out for him.
Currently, the first 4 episodes are published on Webtoon Canvas. I launched this webtoon as an entry for the "Webtoon Legends" contest in early 2025, and after busting my ass to meet the panel count and deadlines for the contest, let it sit collecting dust for a year. Since I've been here at the residency, I've been working on drawing episodes 5 and 6, and writing episode 8 onwards. While the episodes I have worked on aren't finished yet, they are fully inked and flat colored - and they will be posted to webtoon as soon as they are ready!
While I've made web comics and webtoons before, this project is what I consider my first "real" webtoon. I'm trying to let go of my perfectionism and allow this to be the comic where I learn, make mistakes, and where the ultimate goal is to just be able to finish and share a complete comic.
The below carousel are screenshots of my work in progress panels from episodes 5 and 6 that I've worked on since being here - a little teaser of what's to come.
If you do read it, I hope you enjoy!

Chateau du mort:
a bite-sized atmospheric
horror game
You know how the house with the Wishing Tree is extremely quiet and creepy?
You know how it has that spooky murder basement?
Wouldn't you love to see whatever's waiting down there from the comfort of your own screen?
Well good news! After personally exploring the dark bowels of this terrifying little pocket of mystery and darkness, I was inspired to make a short visual novel game about it!
The project has been started in RenPy, my game engine of choice. Unfortunately, just being pulled in other directions of the artwork I wanted to create while at the residency, I wasn't able to dedicate the time I wanted to to dig deeper in to the documentation for RenPy and figure out all the features I wanted to program into this little experience, but it is something I intend to pick up and finish. This feels like a nice small scope project to get me back in the swing of game development, while also exercising my chops on learning to program new features. I will most likely make it available to play on itch.io whenever it is complete.
